Easy Underbelly Anchoring
To prevent your floating decor from migrating into pool skimmer inlets or drifting away down a large shoreline, each unit is engineered with an incredibly simple, hidden anchor setup:
Tie the Line
Locate the heavy-duty plastic anchoring chain loop embedded discreetly underneath the belly of the piece. Securely tie a length of standard monofilament fishing line or rot-resistant outdoor string directly to it.
Weight it Down
Attach the opposite end of your line to a common brick, heavy rock, or standard fishing weight. Drop the weight to the bottom of the basin, leaving enough line slack to accommodate normal water fluctuations.
Natural Drift
Place the piece flat onto the water surface. Your anchor weight will safely lock the floating animal to your preferred coordinates while still allowing it to glide and sway naturally with wind currents.
Important Placement Tips
• Test Placement Before Securing: Always place your floating piece freely into the water first to observe how it floats and reacts to your local pool returns or pond currents. Once you are happy with its visual rotation, attach your anchor line and drop your weight block.
• Normal Waterline Submersion: Our polymer floats are engineered to mimic real wildlife profiles accurately. Because real semi-aquatic animals—like alligators, crocodiles, and hippos—naturally sit very low in the water line when swimming, it is completely normal and expected for the lower edges, fins, feet, or jowls to submerge slightly below the surface. This deliberate engineering ensures the optical illusion remains flawlessly convincing from the shoreline.
