Use the inside length and height of your tank. Standard backgrounds arrive half an inch shorter for an easy fit.

Choose a Style

Pick a ledge background, an Exo-Terra or Zoo-Med size, or a custom background made to your dimensions.

Install

Rinse it, then secure it with silicone or screws. Let silicone cure before adding substrate. See our installation and care instructions.

Leopard geckos live on the ground and like to climb low rocks and squeeze into hiding spots. Ledge backgrounds are one of our most popular styles for leopard geckos: the built-in shelves add climbing spots without taking up floor space.

Each background is handcrafted in Garland, Texas and hand-colored with real crushed rock and natural sands. Add rock hides and small food and water bowls to finish the tank.

Yes. Our reptile products are pet-safe and non-toxic for leopard geckos, made without fiberglass or paint.

Do you make backgrounds for small gecko tanks? +

Yes. Ledge backgrounds start at 20 x 12 inches, and our Exo-Terra sizes start at 8 x 8 inches. We can also custom make any size with our custom backgrounds!

Can I modify a background or rock? +

Yes. Reptile style rocks can be cut to size or modified to create hides with a fine tooth blade, saw or straight blade knife. Warm material cuts more easily.

How do I clean it? +

Use any method you're comfortable with, from a brush to a pressure washer. A little residue may come off, and it won't affect the product. See our installation and care instructions for more.

What colors do the backgrounds come in? +

Standard backgrounds come in brown. For a different look and more color options, custom backgrounds are available in many styles and can come in up to 4 different colors.
