Installing a Universal Rocks Pond

Most Universal Rocks ponds are built to sit on a flat surface, such as a deck, patio, concrete pad or level patch of lawn, so there is no digging required. Each pond is made from a formulated blend of materials that resists chips, cracks, scratches and fading, and it is extremely lightweight. Our Small Patio Pond weighs about 22 lbs, so it is easy to set in place and easy to move later. Prefer an in-ground look? Our patio ponds can also be installed in a garden bed with landscaping built up around the edges.

Ponds are sold on their own, so plan for a pump, tubing and a waterfall. If you would rather have everything in one box, our pond kits pair a pond with a matching waterfall, a pump cover rock and a suitable pump and tubing. Finish the scene with floating pond decor or other water features.

Planning to keep fish? Check each pond's depth and capacity first. Some of our larger, shallower ponds hold bigger koi but may not suit fish through winter in colder regions.
